STAY FAR AND AWAY FROM CROSSFIRE!!!!!! i wouldnt do it. you have a shit ton more reliable car with a slew of off the shelf parts. that thing is gunna be a PAIN to repair wen it needs it.

The car is decent except for that cease fire system. You cannot get parts to repair those very well and you still only have 200hp.

In other words Butch, your car is way better in my book than that car! Cross fire weird shit and your going like 15 years or something back in technology!

classic SBC has the reliability If it has a carb on it. That double TBI setup is terrible Always runs rich as fuck and you cant tune them.

In teh eraly days the CF was shit, but the techs today can tune them very well!
Or just swap out the CF system like allot of other Vette owners have done!
200 HP, yeah, mod it just like any other car!

82, last year of the stingray!
Gotta look at it form other than HP and old technology/old car!
Carb's sucked ass too until peopel got smart & learned how to tune them!

And IT'S A VETTE!

I dunno man i think your gunna be upset wen you realize just how inferior that setup is. im just trying to warm you of all the issues they still have. Just go look for some parts for it before you get it. like new throttle bodies. Cuz well they will go bad. not BAD but you will get vacuum leaks around the throttle shafts causing super high idle that intake is prone to leaking all over the tranny..... i can go on if you want?

If he calls me tomorrow, I'm thinking of checking it out Saturday.
I'll almost be there since I'll be at Ron's with the winter ride getting an inspection.

And guys, I wouldn't just trade it to get it. if it is a basket case or needs more than I deem worthy or my time & money to invest, I'd pass.
I've passed on allot of Vette's that needed more that I was willing to invest (time & $$)

Pizza, you gonna be back Saturday?

i like them if you yank the motor (I have not had one run decent yet that came into the shop) the heads are crap and the injection is junk. put a carb on it and heads and have fun

Who says you can't get parts, just need to know where to look. But I wouldn't trade the T/A for that, even though I think the crossfire is a pretty cool engine, and yeah I have built 2 both with over 400HP, the only real restriction is the intake manifold and a crossram fixes that right up.

do it and risk being beat with a banstick!!!

unless your going to trade and drop in a crate lsx motor then it would be worth it!!!
