It makes sense. If you have enough speed and hit the water at the right angle I would think it would be exactly like skipping a rock across the water. I would say real.

I'm going with BS, the ratio of weight to surface area of a person is MUCH higher than a flat rock, you simply can't push down against the water with the weight of your body and get traction. There's lots of crafty fake stuff just like this floating around the internet, remember the video of the guy going down a water slide, flying 300 feet through the air and landing in a kiddie pool?

Yes, and your point?? If it's on the interwebnets, then it is real. Gosh! :sFun_crazydance:

If that is the case then why do you skid across the water wjen you fall off waterskis or something.

the law of physics sez that a bumble bee cant fly. so your gunna try and say its impossible from some rules and regulations some jack ass 3000 years ago made after an apple fell on his head your sadly mistaken. ohh and perpetual motion is impossible too but its been invented twice. just my 2 cent. i believe it.

i think its possible and real...u can cross water on dirt bikes/motorcycles and snowmobiles i dont see how it couldnt be done if u go fast enough by a human that weighs less than any of those and its not like he went all the way across the lake lol

CamaroRacing12

hmmm i posted this on tech and everyone was ranting and raving it is fake. interesting.

ILuvPizzaTimes10
05-12-2010, 04:13 AM
its fake because people are scared of what they dont know. So the average inside the box thinker goes NOOO ITS FAKE. cause if a human can walk on water the worlds gunna end...... Bahahaha

i dn man, its pretty crazy. i really just have no idea what to believe. i think ima try it this summer lol

CamaroRacing12

ok i made my decision. this shit is 100% fake. they r running on something. look at 49 sec in in front of the guy running the water seems jump or vibrate ahead of him.

Navy01z
05-12-2010, 05:07 AM
That could easily just be water kicking up as he lost momentum on that final step and started sinking in. Not to mention it is the ONLY time you see that. Seems like it would be completely possible to do. So for me, I still say real.

huh? hes running on water what do u think the water is not gonna splash? lol cause thats all it looks like to me

Bring in the Mythbusters. LOL!!!

Jury is still out on this one, but I think under the right circumstances it could be done

If I wasnt such a fatass and could run fast I'd try it. Tony is light enough and quick. I say one of these days before you go out on the ski you try it Tony.

Or why does a car hydroplane in wet weather? Probably fake but the science is sound. Putting the curve into the run would increase the water resistence by pushing against it in 2 directions. The harder you push on water the harder it gets. I still say most likely BS, but I'd try it

Im sayin...Ive seen guys fallout of tubes while tubing behind a boat and skid across the water. Like Nick said the science is sound and I think that the key to what the vid said is the angle they are attacking the water at. I would also think it would have to be done on a pond or lake where there is less current and wave action.

I hope they do test it. I mean shit..Mythbusters got a Fiero to skip across water.

i think that badass i beleive it for the most part

irockidz28
05-12-2010, 04:34 PM
idk i have taken my fair share of physics and load analysis classes the only way i can see a chance of it happening is at an angle and on a curve ..i find hard to beleive tho

as for falling off a tube or what ever you usually land on your side so the surface area is much higher then just one of your feet...same with doing it on a sled the bouyant force of a sled plus the momentum is much higher then on foot

physics sez a bumble bee cant fly.... haha it does. "rules" can be broken. just cuz they tought it in school doesnt mean it cant be done.

Thats what Im sayin. Ill try it.

And to all the nonbelievers. Im just gonna sy this again. Mythbusters proved they could get a fuckin car to skip along the top of the water. At barely any angle. Not to mention, if you position your body right, you can waterski behind a boat with just sneakers on and stay above water. Im sayin. If you hit it at the right angle with enough speed and good fuckin balance......it is possible. ANYTHING is possible.

Navy doesn't get that when you skip across water you are actually an object in motion skipping but when your friggen running on top of water your pressing down with your feet there is no skipping taking place. Like I said youd have to run 200mph lol.

I get it. Im not an idiot. So a 2500lb car doing 80 has enough speed to "skip" across the water. But a 150lb human couldnt get enough speed? Its not like they would have to go that fast. And wouldnt running in at an angle be pressing along the water rather than down on it??

I dunno.. They seem to fall thru at about the same spot, but ya never know.. In theory it makes sense. And it's easy to walk on water, or even stand on it.................Wait till it freezes..

KLAB
05-13-2010, 01:41 PM
haha yeah it just doesn't make much sense kind of strange that this is discovered just now in 2010 that all you have to do to walk on water is run in a curved path lol
