Subie is hibernating for winter. Wanna keep it clean. Jeep is my winter beater. My last payment for my jeep is this month. 3 years of payments and how does it repay me?!? By trying to kill me 3 times this week. Last week, wheel bearing let's go. Wheel almost falls off. Thursday... Dunno how this happened but control arm bolt let's go..yesterday morning wheel cylinder is leaking fluid and no brakes! E-brake cable is shot...TPS is gone, it's bucking like a bronco. One more thing breaks and I'm gunna push it off a cliff!!!

Tell me about it lol.
Got my eyes on another daily so we can lay the poor jeep up and go through it.
I would rip the shit out of an AWD subaru alllllll winter long. Just pressure wash the hell out of the undercarriage after lots of salt builds up. Camaro on the other hand not worth putting it thru salt when its so bad in snow anyways.

Normally I would agree with you however we're now talking about a Subaru with a paint job that has taken a trophy at a large indoor car show and an sti interior conversion that cost us big $$. Neither of which needs to be subjected to the ravages of winter lol.
I have zero desire to keep repainting the car every year and our nearly 100 mile round trip commute to work every shift on the salted and sanded roads would wreak havoc on a nice paint job.
So yeah, we're the assholes who would park an awd car for the winter :D
I'd rather drive the z if need be, I care far less about that one. But, if all goes well we'll have another winter vehicle in the next week or so. As soon as I figure out how deep to reach in after I bend over to find money this time of year ;)

I do miss that car in the snow. The car was fun!!! It's amazing how awesome it handled sideways. I kicked that poor cars ass all winter. I need a winter wrex...
Pics? Wait is this the pink one with roll cage? woah. Pretty bitchin but normally I'd be awd driftina subaru all winter. but if its flawless its flawless :klab:

Well, I am planning on painting it but it will never be a showpiece. It's a freakin jeep lol.
And hell no on the range rover. Too complicated and expensive :p

That's kinda the plan. Just need to find something else to drive so I can tear it apart. And also need to see if I can get the gm ecu to accept the jeeps vin so I can still get a sticker when it's done. No point going through all the work to never be able to get it inspected in mass. Unless you know of any loopholes?

if not maybe a 383 big block. i got a hole parts car that no good for anything but a donor. i only kept it cause everything i could swap into the '69 charger but it hasn't been driven in 2 years so i don't think it will be blowen anything apart.

I Love the new Subie hatches.. I'd love to test drive one.. They say the interior is better than the Evo's.

Heh careful. Haven't met a person drive a Wrx or Sti and not love it right away :). I didn't like the new Sti at first but they are growing on me. IMO subie interior is better. Evo interior is bland :)

Plugs aren't that bad. Hell I swapped plugs and compression tested the car at the same time in under an hour.
I'd do 5 Subaru plug changes before I'd want to do an lt1 f body.
Head gaskets, now that's another story lol

The day I have to change to a head gasket is the day Wrex gets a 2.5 liter ;)

why there actually really easy. 1 big belt. hardest part is getting the harmonic bolt off. unless you feel like ripping half the nose off to get an impact in there i used the cheater bar and starter routine.... hahahaha

Pulling those motors isnt all that hard tho. Also head gaskets i believe can be done by propping the motor up by putting a socket in between the motormount and motor

motor needs to drop out lower in the car. pulling the heads on the studs they hit the wheel wells.
