I dont know much about LSx motors but I can tell you those heads are OK. Theyre decent but nothing to write home about going off the flow #'s, which to me dont mean shit. Other than that I've seen a couple people use them but if I remember right they seem to be a limiting factor on things.

Talk to Don. He is dealer for a lot of those companies and can tell you where to put your money and don't waste it on other things.

i dont like the huge drop in exhaust lift in your cam for the exhaust weak 5.3 heads. the extra 2 degrees of durration may help a little. it will be tuned just fine if Don gets his hands on it But a better cam i feel may net you more power IF thats all your after. But say on a budget you'll be WELL OFF for a set of 1200 dollar heads. they should perform better then Fast As Cast Trickflows.

Don't know what the F13 Cam is for durations but more than likely the pistons would have to be cut to get the most out of the heads.(milled)

Then throw them on and let the valves cut there own reliefs.
There is the right way and the throw it together way.

so the bigger issue is the valve events issue?

well I know that. I'm not just goin to put them on if that needs to be done. maybe look at a different set of heads or something. I'm not looking to destroy shit.

What are your plans/goals for the car? If you are gonna keep that came then I'd just get a set of ported LS6 heads, if you want bigger you can buy complete head/cam kits from trickflow

The point of milling heads to raise compression is to get the most out of the setup.Run less compression and make less power across the curve or spend $$ or take time to measure/cut the pistons. It's not a big deal.Takes me less than 2hr's to do.

well then that what's I'm looking to do Don. I'd like for you to do the install and tune and if they need to be milled or flycut :) just kind of looking to see what would be the best way to get power

If I'm doing it there is no problem. I get them milled to what I want when ordering them.
