Yeah they must have dropped the Z28 name in favor of ZL1, which kinda makes sense since it's the top dog. I wish they would stop dicking around and just put the LS9 in it.

Z28 used to be the Top Dog. wen camaro meant something! haha ZL1 camaro was the Fastest Copo camaro. But not exactly seen very often. and only made so they could use the motor in SCCA competition. id rather have it called the Z28 to be honest. If there gunna go with one OR the other.

Nice car but still you can build one easilly that makes more power and handles better.
Base 2SS camaro -$36k fully optioned
Headers,blower,installed -$11k - 550rwhp fully reliable
Suspension -$2k
Wheels -$3.5k - selling stock=2.5K
Paint- $1k-$4k

For about $50k you can have a bad ass car.

Notice it isn't offered in A6? Because the 2010+ A6 tranny's suck...LOL

Lingenfelter's LS9 powered 2010 Camaro is already running high 8's low 9's I believe.

the z28 was never the fastest or top dog it was suppose to be a track ready road race car the big block SS cars where the strait line cars it wasnt one better than the other but just a different street.

the Z28 was always the stripper GO FAST car. yeah the high revving 302 in 69 wasnt a dragggg motor But still ran right there with the LT1's of the day.

i like the pre badged Z28's 67-8 wen the car was REALLY something till the stupid rules of SCCA racing made em produce no more then 5.0 liters to be able to eligible to race in the Trans Am series. DUMB!

the 67 cars use a MO block thats still only a 4 inch bore 3 inch stroke motor same as the DZ block in 68 and 69. the 67 MO is a 2 bolt main small journal though

maybe theyll take an SS, strip it down, lose some much needed weight and give it a handling package. then badge it z28

too bad they cant. car weighs that much because of all the safety shit there requiring the cars to run now a days. so im gunna say make more powerfull. 620ish flywheel would be a fun car at a 4000+ pound curb weight.

They could lose allot of weight. Make it like a 1LE car. No radio, AC, and all the other crap you dont really NEED. Id be all over that. Except I hate how stripped Race cars will cost more then a fully loaded just because its racing oriented and usually less production.

Mehhh ill save my money and build up an fbody. Good for those with fat wallets though.
