Decided to finally remove my stuck open EGR which was making my car lean out. Didn't wanna order the block off kit and have to wait for it to be shipped, so I bought a 1 3/8" expansion plug for the intake manifold and custom cut an old license plate to cover the exhaust port, with the gasket underneath. Works great! No leaks and she runs nice and smooth, and the inside of my exhaust tips are FINALLY black for the first time since I did the exhaust lol :). will have pics tomorrow, the ones I took tonight came out too small

Thanks!!! Yeah, I believe it was sending NOX gases back into my intake manifold, which are non-combustible, leaning out my A/F.

why couldn't it? the mechanical part of it (the valve) was probably stuck open so the gas was constantly going into the intake manifold

its only a very small vaccum leak at best. idle, cruise A/F can be effected but WOT? maybe. we'll see.

Sweet but i would use some thicker metal or aluminum not a license plate the heat will make it warp and leak.

that's all I had at the moment and I already had my EGR out of the car lol. it was late at night and I had to drive to school the next morning. But it's working out great! I drive 45 minutes to school everyday... hasn't leaked.
