Well, I think it may be time to part with my camaro. I'll be starting school up in the fall, Ill be going to Quinsig for criminal justice. Ill be working part time and going to school part time. I dont think im going to be able to swing my bills working part time, so Im thinkin of selling my car, and using the money to pay off my truck, so all i have to do is pay insurance. My question is what do you guys think I should ask for it? its a 1993, stock, original lt1, 170k miles, t56, T-tops, it has 3.73's, Z06 wheels, with good rubber, 8,000k hids, blackout lights, edelbrock 52mm TB, SLP line lock, SLP fan control switch, trickflow inlet elbow, custom CAI, muffler delete, Interior is in great shape, The underneath is VERY clean, the guy who installed my gears was impressed at how clean it was, the engine bay is also very clean. Its pretty much one of the cleanest LT1's around, never seen snow, rarely sees rain. Extra parts not on the car are spec stage 2+ clutch, blasted and repainted pacestter LT's, autometer oil press, autometer water temp, and auto meter dual pillar pod. The bad: front bumper paint is chipping, and it idles goofy at times, other than that, its solid. I was thinking of askin 4,000-4500. Just tryin to figure out what i can expect.
Thanks guys!:BFing:

You can expect to get hosed if you sell it, no one is willing to shell out any cash for anything right now. If you really can't afford the insurance I would just take the plates off and park it rather than taking a bath selling it, but that's me. If you really need the money than yeah ask about what you had in mind but don't expect to get it. Sucks but it's just a shitty time to sell anything.

Honestly you will be hard pressed to get 2500 for it and i think that is generous :(

It being a t56 and t-tops is gonna be the driving force, and its clean. The only major turn off is the miles on it. It will be a crap shoot as to what people will offer. If I were going to look at it Id prob offer at most ~2700 cash for it. Just my .02.

put it up for what you want for it. If you don't get what you want for it then keep it. Take the plates off and just sit on it. Mess around with it every once and awhile so it stay running at least half way decent with the funky idle.

There ya go, if you ain't driving it you can rip every last vacuum line out of the car and see if you can find your idle issue.

Thanks for the advice guys, even if I did get say 2500 for it, I only payed $1500 for the car (which was one hell of a deal) The only reason id sell it is if I cant afford the truck payments and truck insurance while working part time, so sell the camaro and pay off the truck, even if I could afford it Id be scrounging for gas money. Otherwise Id keep it, I figure I sell it, get out of school, and buy an LS1 car. But who knows, maybe I can pull it off.
