well my brother finally bailed his car out of the incompetent hands of the shop it's been sitting in for the last 6months. this ass clown charged him way too much for stupid diag crap, and he pulled the intake off to replace the cam sensor (for no reason) and broke a hose or two (didn't look too hard) just saw the old PCM in the pass seat, new hose uninstalled, and STM sitting on the floor. so he didn't even put the fkn thing back together correctly. there were printouts on the back seat from tech manuals with diagrams on how to uninstall both the PCM and intake (big red flag IMO) so he finally bailed it out and we got it towed back to my house for now.
Now he needs to make two things. 1. more money. 2. a decision on what he can afford to do to get this thing back on the road before the cold comes crawling back.
we can find a few deals (yes Don your top of the list) on getting the whole thing done right, but he needs to know that pulling the motor ourselves is just more work than it's worth with little space and tools.
what else can I tell his dumb ass other than get the $$ together and we'll figure out how to get it to Don.

You pretty much need a lift to get the motor out, you gotta lift the car off of it. Wait until you have the money to do it right or sell it as a roller.

he's been told that would be his best bet, but he's got too much into it as of now. even more if he fixes it. he won't get anything near what he needs to get out of it without it running.

pretty sure reluctor wheel is the only problem, but won't know till the pan gets dropped.
he was supposed to send me pics that he took of it, but hasn't and probably wont.

They don't just bend. They are actually a bitch to bend and probly need a good pry or hammering to bend.

that's what I've been hearing, regardless of what the problem(s) the motor must come out. so I'm going to sit on my hands for a while till he can understand his situation then I'll be calling you (might be a winter job). Kids getting married in October so I hope he can get enough $ to fix his shit. I hate being the only one of my local friends with a running car, even if I can't make it to any shows or meets... lol
