Howdy folks. Somehow I managed to survive all this time without knowing about NEFBA, but after Don Kinder pointed me here on his Dyno Day thread on 'tech, I decided to come take a look. Nice place you've got here!
Anyway, a little background about me. I've been a thirdgen owner since high school, and joined thirdgen.org back in the mid 90s when Dirk still hosted it on his arizona.edu website. There aren't too many of us "original" folks left on that site.
I've currently got 2 thirdgens. I bought my IROC in 1998 and my GTA in 2000, both for around $1,000 and both needing a lot of work.
The IROC was a TPI 305 / 700R4 car until I put a TPI 350 in, followed by a T5. The GTA still has the stock TPI 305 / T5 drivetrain. I'm now in the process of building a 402 cube LSx for the IROC, and once that's ready to go in, the drivetrain currently in the IROC will go into the GTA.
I never hear much about western MA get-togethers, but now that I'm on here, hopefully I'll start to hear about some. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of f-body activity in Berkshire County where I'm at.
So anyway, that's me. Here's a couple pics of the cars:
