Interesting motor but I would never pay that much $ for a motor like that tat has little to none aftermarket support. 13.5k can buy a NASTY engine

Yeah it's pretty much a show piece, but an amazing one at that. How many LT5s are there that have never been run? Maybe in a ZR1 in a museum somewhere, but in a crate?

Yes it is. Developed by Lotus Engineering and made by Mercury Marine in Oklahoma. It made 375hp from 1990 -1992 and 405 from 1993-1995 when it was cancelled. They only made around 6,000 cars from 1990 -1995. The ZR 1 option was almost $27,000 OVER the price of a regular C4! These cars were around $70,000 brand new! Parts are basically unavailabe for these engine nowadays.

Plus, I dont see the point in having the motor sit on a stand just you can stare at it....what good does that do you? To each his own I guess.......I'd at least make a coffee table out of it or something!

I will say when I work at Desantis chevrolet he had a couple nice low milage collector cars out back and one of them was a red 95 zr1 with like 500 miles on it. Def a nice piece and the sticker was like 65k
