4 days now. Granby ct was looking like a war zone with loads of trees down. The droid still works though. The generator too....but starting to sound like its got marbles running around in it. Will get a new one when things clear up. Not sure when the power will be back on. Hopefully by the weekend. Gas shortages are everywhere and it took about an hour to find gas. Even with conserving generator usage, we've been going through 3-4 gallons a day.

For gas yeserday I tried bloomfield, hartford, west hartford and granby. No luck until I tried southwick, ma. I heard torrington ct has gas.

It's starting to feel like the mad max movie around here.

That's it, time to paint one of the camaros flat black, put some spikes on the front bumper, and a clutched blower poking through the hood!

Most of our town is out but we never lost it. Living across the street from the sub station ftw. Shop never lost it either but a good chunk of Grafton St in Worcester, which is a fairly major rd, still didn't have power yesterday either.

I feel bad for you guys, my power went out for only a few hours sat. The School and shopping plaza located 1 mile on each side of my house both don't have power. I'm lucky i guess.

I took the cover off the generator and my guess is that the bearing on the end is making all the rattling noise. It's sounding like a garbage disposal but thankfully is still working. The wife and kid are getting cabin fever and todays big trip was to Tractor Supply in Mass to buy a chain sharpener for the chainsaw. What fun. NOT.

actually a bit lucky this round. only had a few flux in power on Sat. maybe 4" of the slushy muck. had no cable for a few days, but most people I know didn't get it back till today, others might not till the weekend.

Weak trees, heavy slushy snow and loose soil. Friend of mine has a tree service company and has been loaded with work since Irene. We can live without power, but not heat so glad I got a fresh delivery of seasoned firewood 2 weeks ago.

I was lucky, only lost power for one day. Been cleaning up various properties at work this week and haven't even scratched the surface. Springfield got hit really hard. Here's some pics from work:

I would gladly loan it to ya.

That's the kind I bought. Thanks for the offer though. Do you have power at home yet? My inlaws in Canton and my mom in New Hartford got theirs on last night.

Got power back yesterday supposedly. We made the decision to move up our trip to CA and flew out a day early.

Managed to get a shower in @ the firehouse, on Mon. But I did see they set up the decontamination showers on Tues. as well.

Definately nuts with the amount of trees down...

Power/water/heat here :hititbag:

Power is supposed to be restored here by Sunday, but I haven't seen any CL&P people in granby. Hopefully they'll arrive soon.

I've still don't have power yet, I got lucky and grabbed one of the portables from work and wired it to my panel. half my town Does have power. I've been going crazy with generator services just about around the clock, I'm so fkn tired, you've be surprised on how many people don't take care of there generators home stand by or portables. My company has so many surveys for generator installs. If it wasn't for these generators half my company would be laid off instead we are getting so busy that we may have to hire people. I'm hoping to have power by tomorrow.

I think there not paying much overtime. I herd that they didn't start earlier fixing the lines because there looking for disaster money.

Glad you have some power back Dawg. A hot shower is always nice, especially when you're wife is not smelling so nice. Ha!

My generator died out yesterday. Motor was running strong but I think the bearings on the generator part siezed up. Thankfully I was able to borrow a generator.

As of today it has been one week without power and I finally saw a utility crew on my street yesterday. I am hoping power will be back today or tomorrow.
