How old are we talking, quickly looking http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rifts_(role-playing_game) is the only thing i can come up with, but thats the 90s.

Other wise, as far as i can can tell, they have nothing in common with each other. lol

Pizza, you like FPS on computer correct? Does anyone else?

The doom/skulltag is very easy on cpu and gfx, and its a load of fun with a group. Id like to try and get a weekly game going, once i get on my feet ill pick up an old server and run my own servers also.

Its mouse aiming and wasd for movement, if you played the first couple dooms, it was the arrow keys to move and ctrl to shoot, no up down movement. The other cool thing is the mod i play on uses call of duty weapons. :sheepfucker:

Let me know whos interested and I'll help anyone get it set up, its not complicated.

Welp, you need to go to

http://www.skulltag.com/

Then go to downloads

Then download the windows installer it will down load the .exe installer, after it installs it will ask you to locate the folder with the .wads. Ill shoot you a PM and inform you about the wad files, which is the doom game its self.

Then you need http://doomseeker.drdteam.org/

From there go into the downloads and download the 0.7 beta, once its installed it will ask where skullktag is, it needs the folder with the skulltag.exe, cause it will start skull tag when you join a server.

After that, start doomseeker, go into options -> configure -> engines -> skulltag. There is a master server address and you need to change it to master.skulltag.net:15300

Once thats done, all youll have to do is some gfx tweeks once skulltag loads and your in a server, it can use open GL which looks 1000x better then vga but more cps dependant. And then some key mapping and your done.

Welp, couldn't take not having a gaming mouse any more and went and picked up a g500 from logitech.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104318

Thing is beast, I can't even figure out why I waited so long to get one again.

Pro- Comfortable, its a bigger mouse and fits my somewhat large hands. TONS of customization with setpoint, it allows you set mouse buttons for different programs and will automatically switch depending on what program your in.

I have it set so while on the net, the side mouse buttons are cut and paste, and left and right are back and forwards on the browser. Ect.

Has removable weights so you can fine tune to how you like the mouse to feel. I have all the weights in cause I like a solid feeling mouse.

Cons Price, 70 bucks isnt so bad, but its also not cheap. Size, people with small hands may not enjoy the size of the mouse.

Also picking up a new videocard from a friend for cheap, hd4850. Spec wise has 5 times as many cores, 800 vs 112 in my 8800, and is a little faster all around. Also is a 1gig card vs a 512. Excited to 3dmark06 is and see how much it out performs my 8800gt. Atleast I hope it does lol

Anyone who likes the metroid series or castlevania,

Aquaria on steam is an amazing game that combines elements from both. Only 10 bucks and well worth it!
