The boys in Hartford are getting new airplanes (sadly not till 2011) and yours truly has been put on the list of possibles to help them get on their feet in the cargo world. Very cool little airplane, what do you think?

it is just about exactly 1/2 a C-130, it is a little tiny thing, 25,353 pounds is the cargo limit. It is a special forces/close air support aircraft. Now supposedly there is also going to be an AC-27 Gunship too.......hmmmmm

being a loadmaster myself on c-130s and c-2s im partial to those.
and isnt that made overseas?

Designed by a European company but will be built in Florida, The Herc is great but they aren't hiring right now in the ANG. I won't leave the C-5 unless they kill it or I get a full time slot somewhere else

Alot of it's parts are taken right off the C-130J , it is pretty much 1/2 a Herc. The avionics are all from the J model, the engines, alot of the cargo stuff, all off the J-model 130

So this is at Bradley right? They fly the military business jets right now, C-41 I think? This thing looks pretty interesting, I don't think I've ever seen one before.

yeah it will be at Bradley to replace their C-21's, won't be online until 2013 though, I think hireing starts in 2011, train in 2012 and become operational in 2013

Both wrong, they have the C-21, the 141 has been gone since the late 90's
