Went to pick up a bottle Of Techron for the whip today and i was in there for 25 mins because the old dude kept fuckin up the customer in front of me trying I buy his alternator... And then he spent 10 mins trying to convince me to buy something else instead of what I wanted. Damnit shit fuck!!
Do you guys have a local parts store you use for quick stuff or are we stuck goIng to these shit house places??

I usually find my experiences at advanced to be very similar. Theres alot of kids who work there who think they know everything and anything. I replaced the water pump on my old dodge, and I broke the coolant hose going from the top of the WP into the intake, I told the kid what I needed, and he looked at me and said: "Nope thats wrong, there shouldnt be coolant flowing into your intake, only air should be going into your intake." So I just shook my head and left, I have many more horror stories haha.

Haha I'm apologize if you had met me in person you'd notice that I say whip in a mocking tone of the kid behind the counter. It doesn't work well with typed words.

Yea man. I understand that people suck but if someone comes in I'm sure you give them proper info. The problem here is we have UTI kids because the school is in Norwood... They flaunt their jackets and Id badges and they try to tell you what's up because they're "mechanics".
So now I do a drive by and it there's any vehicle with a 4+ inch fart can and spray painted wheels I drive on haha.
The guy who had my car prior put an ss hood on it and 10 spokes and ss badges I went in there when I first got it to get some cleaning supplies and wipers ect and te kid asked the year. I told him a 1995 and he's like "that was the best year ss..." I laughed shook my head and moved along. You cant fix stupid.

in out district of store i think i am the youngest counter person. We are owned by Advance but out do them in every way. I laugh when they call us and try to order something off us. They have no idea.
Now i have a story about the Zone. My elec wp shit the bed so i needed to throw the stock one back on. I go to the Zone to get some WP gaskets. They had to get them from another store NP. i go back and the pregnant lady behind the count argued with me for 20 mins while her employee was ringing me out about the gaskets being wrong. They couldn't be wp gaskets she claimed. Then proceeded to show her the felpro gasket which right on the package said what it was and fit. You have morons everywhere.

lol. i remember the guy at the norwood advanced auto parts arguing with me about using dry gas in diesel engnes. alcohol based additives are a big no no in diesels.
i went in to the advanced in salem the other day to get an oil filter, when i walked in the kid behind the counter asked if i needed any help and i politely said no thanks, he replied with OOOOOk. so i pick out the filter and go to the counter he says you sure you got the right one? lol are u kidding me buddy??? so he rings it up and tells me its 13 dollars, im like the price on the shelf says 6 dollars, he proceeds to tell me that there was a price increase and they didnt change the prices in the isles yet. a 100% price increase???? so i show him the price on the shelf and tell him theres now way they doubled the price of all the oil filters so we go back to the counter and now 3 of them are trying to figure this out, so i turn the screen around and look at what it says he rang up, which was the wrong part number, i point this out to him and say see i picked out the right oil filter but you rang it up wrong, now hes two associates are laughing and making fun of him. hopefully he learned a lesson.

I went to Wyotech and I will say the same thing. I wouldnt let 95% of those kids touch my cars. The problem is the school weigh too heavily on what you do in the shop. Like Wyotech for each class you can get up to 2000 points. 1000 in class grades from tests and 1000 in shop. The problem is shop is mainly groups so you dont have to do shit and still can get a good shop grade. You dont know how many kids get 50's 60's as test grades but then get a decent shop grade to boost their grade to passing. Thats where I think their system is flawed, if you score so low on tests, obviously youre not retaining the knowledge from our lectures so why would I want you to go near my car.
