I'm getting HOPEFULLY a 1994 Flashable PCM Auto formula. how long will a stock tranny hold up to my engine?

Nope. you and i both know it will be a better car with an Auto. i hate driving the fucking thing with that computer and the 6 speed. figured nows as good as time as any for a change. sence that car is the better flashable PCM and it already has the harness and the Auto WHY NOT???

im not selling the tranny. But if you notice Joe Sicks-O has an LT1 and T56 for his iroc ill give you 2 guesses as to were they came from..... I GET TO USE HIS LIFTS!!!! YAYYYYY

your a poon alex!! haha i guess this works. Im looking at a Hughes Street/Strip tranny. whos heard about them good and bad im getting it for a DEALLLL and a half with a Yank TT2800 2.0STR converter. any info would be greatly appreciated.

I almost bought a Hughes TH400, I hear good shit about their converters. Never seen a trans from them though.

$800 for a Hughes and a Yank TT2800? it has the same internal parts as the FLT Level 4 wich is what Don t9old me to get. im just throwing out ideas here. with buying the car i dont have enough to get a $3000 dollar tranny right now. im not making huge power to blow it up anyway. fuckin boat anchor LT1

That;s a pretty good deal, Hughes makes nice middle of the road stuff and if you can keep drag racing to a minimum it'll probably last a long time. Yank has always been my first choice for converters and a good yank will cost you damn near what you are paying for the whole thing. 2800 stall is a little low but beggars can't be choosers, I'd take it. Biggest thing is a stock 4l60E will turn to dust with the torque your engine is making unless you baby it. And what would be the point in that?

Yeah thats exactly what i was thinking. instead of blowing up a few trannys and waisting the money on those ill just get this have Don put in a safe tune and run it. And i got the word back hes got a tranny temp gauge with it. and wen he had the stall STR changed he bumped the stall speed to 3000 RPM and with my torque and numerically lower gear then he had out back i wouldnt be suprised if it stalled around 3100-3200. wich Might just be what i need i have REally low peak torque numbers now as it is and then wen i get head eventually by then ill sell this tranny off if its still in one piece and buy an FLT level 6. end of next year. im planning on dumping the guy some money soon to hold it for me for a little bit. this deal is Mine it has to be. already setup for a 1994 and everything.

Que Pasa?!?!? No one is laying a hand on my car with any intent of Thrashing it or you will be shot!!!

and i think its only about 30 pounds Alex. and if you add the chromoly upper and lower control arms it brings to total saving on the nose to about 100 pounds. and then you can add the almost 30 pounds on each wheel for the LT1 guys if they add the LS1 brake swap too. So an LT1 can save 140-160 pounds off the nose with a k-member and full suspension. i May or may not. might not be necessary. ill see what kinda money i have left over.

I was more thinking you working on you car and the rest of the crew working on the old one making it back into a roller at the same time that way you sell the one every one else cranked on and get the bitch done in like a day or so.

Maybe. that seems doable BUT its not my garage to say everyone can be there working or just hanging out. But what i plan on doing is tear the formy apart down to bear floors on the inside and out and have that be a roller. finish the complete undercarriage. then bring the T/A up there tear that down and stuff all the goodies over into the formy. should take no more then 2 LONG weekends.

Yeah Awesome!!1 if i actually got that fuckin 1994 Formula. car was a piece of crap. after i pulled the rear carpets just to be sure. form the out side and the car fax car was MINT!!!! guy told boomer me and Joe it was never in any major accidents. WELLL FUCK FACEEEEE what about the fact the rear drivers side inner fender well is wrinkled and that rear quarter was replaced. and then jope pointed out that the floor was cracked because the car was hit tio hard the control arm ripped the floor wen the rear end was wacked on that side. all in all a Bad time in NH. fuckin guy was a dick head after wards. OHHHH and to top it off.........
