Well was on the way to a show when the motor started making a noise and the oil pressure dropped to 20. Turned around and just about made it home before she made some serious noise and shut off. She cranks but doesn't want to run.

Haha. Wish I could afford that.

Got the valve covers off and took out the plugs. Noticed that there was oil on the threads of the front driver's side plug and rear passenger side plug. All the rockers/springs look fine. I doubt that is just a collapsed lifter.

Damn, thats too bad, Im waiting for this to happen on my lt1, 174,000 miles is alot for an all original LT1, I romp on it reqularly haha. But hey, just look at it this way, its an excuse to build an even nastier LSX motor haha

That would be a huge help. I was going to ask you today about that but didn't want to impose on you. Like I said its going to be a while but I am thinking more cubes and h/c/i. I want to run mid to high 10s na and a easy 9sec pass on a 150 or 200. I don't want to have to spray a shit ton to get there. Don't want a direct port or having to deal with trying to tune multiple stages to run 400hp worth the spray.

Fine I will take my ball and go home!!! Realistically though its either freshen up my motor and throw some rod bolts in it or build a nice 408 with a ls3 top end with higher compression and spray that. We will see though.

Cmon pizza you should know. Kid,job, house,wife haha. Pulled the valve covers and the plugs and found no problem with the top end besides some oil on the front driver's side plug and rear passenger side plug. Pretty sure it spun and bearing or two.
