Well, didn't say what other options. Just the choice between those. A stock clutch is better.

I dont know what you have for mods but my dad has a NIB GMPP LS6 clutch setup. Got it last summer and then the car was tboned. I believe he has everything you need minus a new slave. If youre interested Ill grab a price from him.

Ok so then what is a clutch flywheel set up that you guys would recommend?
The car has a LS3 pushing 525 at the wheels,an using a t-56 magnum to get there. its mostly on the street and driven as a DD during the season, it will see the track once a new rear end is on it but im not about to go smashing my 10 bolt until i'm ready to upgrade

Thanks i appreciate the offer, but i dont think that clutch would hold up for me.

those stupid weights they use will eventually move off center causing one hell of an inbalance. as well as when they do work. high rpm shifts are damn near impossible with the hydraulics as weak as they are in the LS1's. slave has an even harder time pushing it open. unless they have improved the design they are a waste/gimmick.

Good knowledge, thanks. I kinda always saw the weights as a bit of a gimmick, but figured there must be something to them if they are still around. I also agree on the weak hydraulics thats why one of my first MODS was the Tick MS

Centerforce is just a known POS for LS cars. They are not great for Fords but people use them.

I like the Mcleod RXT. Be carefull though with the tick master. They are known to leak within time. The Mcleod clutch is made for stock hydrolics and works perfect with them.

I also vote for the McLeod or a Monster stg3. Not sure if Monster is still good but I loved mine and was making 500 and 570tq. Held up to 6000rpm clutch dumps with no problem

Monster has gone down the tubes. They were good a few years ago but something changed.

Really Don? Too bad, because I really liked mine. Is the friction material different? Are they falling apart? Guess if I ever go back to a M6 then maybe a RXT is what I will try.

Also been reading about the Australian clutch called Mantic. Look pretty badass

I love my ram VDS sintered iron, pressure plate is rebuildable as well. static pressure is also adjustable.

Mantic is new and cost some $$. Peddle is heavy too.

From what experience I have with clutches, nothing beats the McLeod rxt.

Sintered iron is nice for racing but they are not made to last long. I ran one in my vette.

I've got the monster stage 3. So far it's holding up pretty well. I think I need to bleed the hydraulics.. it's disengaging really far into the pedal. I got it setup so it should be easy.. i'm just lazy.

I thought the Spec stage 3+ felt a tad better. It was a little heavier. Lasted about 4 years of launching at seekonk and autox events. Not sure what the quality of Spec is like these days though...
