Ideas for the Z

Ok guys, doing a few things to the z here and wanted some second opinions.

First I grabbed some front y3f pieces off of tech and am in the process of getting them prepped and painted to go onto the car. Image below has been photoshopped, poorly, but enough to get the effect/concept.

Wanted to go with either clear sidemarkers and front signals, or the blackouts. Thinking of going with the blackouts to give some contrast. Then that also gave me the idea of goin with a manta stripe on the hood. What do you guys think would look good with all that in mind?

you could black out the lenses and do a black manta stripe. Not too sure how good that would look though hard to imagine it. Your the only one i know that has a white camaro haha.

Seen a few cars on tech with the blackout depo lenses and looked great with the white. Was thinking of doing the whistler mod on the headlights and or the fill in or manta ray to add more contrast.

And budgetwise, car is going to be resprayed this year to get all "non-conforming" sections to match up. That and whoever shot the hood did a piss poor job because the clear is peeling. Putting new tires on it, getting new carpet and a few other misc things done.

Not absolutely crazy about the rear decals, thinking just the hood decal.

You should get some decent rims. Salad shooters really dont work on these cars

Got the stock chrome n98's for it. Just have the shooters with some winter tires on it right now. Was thinking of going with some z06 or zr1s for it in the future. With all the other stuff I want to get done this year, looks like rims will probably be next year. And call me crazy but I kinda like the stock rims on it.

This is the car as I bought it last year before adding the lt1 tails, Brent Franker vinyl fill ins, etc.

Do the manta!! Will off set the white awesome!! I just wouldn't do the hatch stripe not a huge fan.

Yeah, not crazy about the rear stripe on the hatch. Not sure if I want to do it in vinyl first just to try it on for size or just go balls out and do it in paint. Still looking for sites that carry it in vinyl as a solid piece and not with the pinstripe around the outer edge of it.

Manta stripe would definitely look good. I think you couldn't go wrong with either clear or blacked out corners. Honestly I would do wheels before anything else but if you're happy with the ones you have it's your car.

Oewheels is selling c5dd in machined face for like 350 for a set. Snag that and find used tires or something and get some corner lenses. Plastidip the manta to see how it basically looks

The decal is like $32 off ebay right now so not too bad if I don't like it. Can just rip the vinyl off of it. But I do like that idea with just doing the plastidip just in case. If this weather wasn't so screwed up this weekend that'd be my project.

If you like the stock rims I would just keep them for now and focus on something your not happy with. I think manta would look nice.

Do the manta, whistler mod your headlights and get lenses for the corners. Then save for a set of rims in tires. 16s just look outta place on these cars

Ok so I half-assed the manta today. Up close doesn't look the best, but looks better from a distance. Got some rough edges to clean up, but hey, it's plasti dip! Will probably clean em up a bit more or just say screw it and order the vinyl. Thinking it looks much better than it did without it!

Should be getting my depo black corners in today as well. Probably going to wait until after the inspection sticker is done this month before installing em just to be safe.

Been looking for the solid vinyl, no pinstripe, but can't seem to find it. Tried 3rd gen decals, fourth circle designs and hawks with no luck. Seems everybody has the manta with the pinstripe only. Going to have the car repainted this year, hopefully. Will probably just run the vinyl until then. Can't wait until I get the corners in from neondials, was supposed to be Saturday, but with the storm was delayed until monday. Will update once they're in and on the car. Also working on the y3f pieces as much as I can here.

I just got a set of whistlered Depo headlights for my car off Amazon for about 130 and they look sick. I'll put em in before dyno day but I bet they would look bad ass on a white car especially after the black manta...just another idea for you to throw your money at haha

Seen them as well. Looks like half whistler, but they are full whistle red, $127 for the set. One set left and soooo tempted lol. Just spent $120 for carpet, $45 for markers, another $120 for the front gfx. Kind of tempted to do it myself and buy a set already done in case I cook the lenses.

Ok so yesterday I ended up replacing my carpet in the car and added my depo blackout lights to the car. Carpet is a huge improvement over the aftermarket garbage that didn't fit right and was bulged up everywhere. Still have to get the front y3f pieces installed yet. So in the meantime, here's a few pics.
