2013 was a really busy year for me. Working OT every chance i got, got engaged, moved out on my own, married. I feel like i accomplished a lot this past year.

2014 What is everyone's goals for this year? Mines to have a break out year in work and become a lead guy.

My other goal is to finally get some headers for the Camaro. Mods have been on the back burner for more important reasons but now i already have the money saved up plus with my income tax its going to be a fun year. I want to get better at Drag racing and Autocross it to see how i like that as well.

My next goal is to get a new DD. My camry has been nothing but astonishing. 235k miles average 30mpg and the only fix i have ever done to the car is a 80$ exhaust leak. I beat the snot out of it going up to Canada last year and back trying to kill it and it wouldn't die. In the summer when we had some real bad rain i was driving around a corner and the road was flooded out. I would of stopped but when I'm committed to something i just have to keep going. I hit about 2 and a half feet of water. The car almost died in the middle of it and some how some way it inched forward and just JUST made it out. The car was misfiring and running really rough and i still made it 50 miles home. Next day i came out started it and it fired right back up like nothing happened.... damn The car is getting older now, it doesnt have any sign of dieing but its only a matter of time. I'm not sure if i want to pick up another camry, a more powerful DD car like a Acura CL-type S im looking at, or if the camry doesn't die buy a cheap ls1 fbody and drive that and keep the camry when its snowing or raining...

My last goal is to become a gun owner and learn how to hunt. I'm huge into fishing and i have always loved reading field and stream. I think its about time to start getting into the field part. My goal is to get all the licensing and shoot my own turkey in the fall.

Enough about me what are your goals. Lets Revisit this thread next year and actually see how many goals people reached.

Im loling at the Camry stories.

For me I want become a lead painter at my work, right now the only painting i do is edging parts and painting jambs. Jambs arent an easy task but ive finally got it done. I also hope to speed up my prep work before the cars get painted. I really have to focus on mastering my prep work before i get into painting though.

I have huge plans for my car, its a shame that i couldnt focus on the mechanical stuff when i first got it because its really biting me in the ass now. Hopefully i can get it into the 12s, thats my ultimate goal. Ive been slowly collecting parts for it to get there i just have to wait til spring to really work on it. Also i need to fix my very rushed paint job on my nose, i cant even say how embarrassing it is. Hopefully i can get it done by May.

After that i just want an easy year, last year had too much bullshit

My goals are to finish mycar or a car this year. So close to having the 5.3 done! Other than that its more wedding planning and looking to buy a house. My body has been a mess since the accident I was in so I hope 2014 lets me feel a little better. Other than that I just want tonadvance my career more. I Love my job now and just hope to learn more. Main goal is to finish my home gym and reach my goal of 200lbs, 185 currently, Id also like to get the tuna to the track and run 13s.

Past that save money and finish building garage so next winter I can do some more mods to the camaro. Would like to build tranny add a manual valve body and stall.

I would like to get my motor at least freshened up and a not too crazy cam put in. Also get the car cleaned up body wise above and underneath.

I'd like to get organized this year. I've got stuff everywhere and every time I need a wrench or any other tool, it takes me at least 20 minutes to find it.

I feel like I'm spending 1/4 of my life just looking for things I've lost.

I been waiting for this year for a long time. I'm graduating in May with bachelors in Mechanical Engineering. Gonna secure a full time position with benefits to start this summer, pay off school loans, do a few small mods to the z to keep myself satisfied with it, and spend much needed time with the girl and family!

My plan is to keep things picking up for me at my shop so I can make a living comfortably.
Get my truck back together with a healthy 6.0, freshen up her wrx, and get the turd gen together with its turbo 5.3, before July when our new baby gets here and I have no more free time lol

maintenance priority to my s10, needs suspension work, tires, and door latch welding.
T/A needs a battery, not sure if I plan on doing much more to her than just swapping out the seats and keep her clean.

Unfortunately, my goal this year is to sell the Camaro. Need to move onto other things. That includes retiring from the spec drags. It's a great car, but I just don't use it enough to warrant keeping it.

Maybe I will regret getting rid of it, but I think it's definitely the right thing to do. The past few years I probably have done about 3-4 events a year. I have only autoxed with it once in the past few years. We want to sell the house and go down to 1 car for me. Who knows where we will be living.. might be in California. My wife tells me if we move there then I can buy a Corvette Stingray :)

As for me I will be moving back to Boston/Cambridge and selling the Cts-v finally and replacing it will something boring. Hopefully getting a new jerb but who knows.

Camaro stuff:
I will be going to the following Pro Solo Events and competing.

Washington Dc Pro Solo
New Jersey Championship Tour
Ayer Ma Match Tour
Ohio Pro Solo/ Championship Tour

My personal goal is to win 2 or more pro events this year but that might be asking to much.

As far as car wishlists go, here it is the list:

Stuff I'm buying:
1.Fayes 2 Watts link
2.SS brakelines
3.New Hoosiers

Stuff I want:
1.NASA/SCCA approved roll cage
2.De coupled torque arm
3.rebuilt motor
4.C5Z Speedline (4) 10.5x18
5.Some sponsorship to help costs, I just need to start winning more.
6. To own a C5Z they are amazing even today with the newer vettes out they still hold there own.

Club racing is every weekend basically. You should attend and race one of these days. Then you can grab some ride alongs in my car see what a different animal it is from everyone's car on here. The Match Tour in Ayer is June 7-8th.

The aggressive nature of AX will teach you how to control that big lead sled.

I agree. Take it autocrossing sometime. It's a low risk low cost way to race learn how to race. Autox fundamentals also tend to carry over into other racing types like track day driving schools or road racing.

Right now priority is getting better, I've had a few injuries the past few years and they haven't healed properly, in addition to that my lyme has come back worse and is pretty much causing my entire body to degrade. So right now its priority to get back on track with that. Funds permitting and if I can get back in condition to work, then I'll get the trans am together finally. And hopefully start going back to school
