My LPP headers have arrived!!!

As I fry my eggs and cook up some delicious breakfast this morning before I take off for class, I hear a loud truck coming down the street. Look outside and there is a FedEx truck outside!! :0 yesss, so my eggs got burnt but whatever. So I opened them up and they are amazing!!! This is quality shit right here! Stainless stepped LPP race LT's and Y shipped for $600. Pretty good. So with my Magnaflow cat-back that I got a deal on for $300 shipped that's a combined total of $900 for a complete stainless exhaust system, and all clamp on. So when school is over with in early May I can dive into this project, pull out the old manifolds, cat and y. Remove the air/egr and take the intake off, block off the erg port and paint the intake black, plop the headers and y in and extend the o2's then move on to putting in the fresh painted 3.42 rear end in, then tune it because my dash is gonna be lit up like a christmas tree and afr will be off with the race headers change. So I'm pumped! Anyways I'll shut up and just post some pics:

No infact it creates a ventury effect and actually increase port scavaging at low RPM and gives you a broader torque curve. DEPENDING ON YOUR MOTOR of course...

yeah i built my motor back in 06 and well you had pacesetter and hooker for LT1 headers and the Hookers SUCKED and everyone that bought em sed they leaked all the time. ive never had one issue with my pacesetters. i dunno why everyone keeps bashing them. they are still the best fit and are spot on for port alignment.

im not bashing the PS by any means i like them, i think they look great, im not worried about the coating flaking off or anything because i dont drive it enough. now fitment ill have to let you know in a day or two lol.

i bet the rot out just as fast as uncoated. only thing you save with coating is under hood temps. and even then the benifit is debatable. i have uncoated and i LOVE em still going strong after almost what 4 years? april 06 i got em.

Theyre stepped for velocity. Think of like a pressure washer, how it steps down to create crazy pressure down the other end.

i pull the motor out threw the bottom bolt em on and drop the car back down. they tuck nicely threw the frame rails.

why are the Pacesetters a PITA??? did you jack the motor up off the mounts? your gunna have to on both sides. i know they only say you have to on one side. but ive found there a little tight on the drivers side even with the steering shaft pulled up out og the way from squeeshy motor mounts.

i have no problem getting them in and out, its the egr thats being the issue, it wont line up so i need to cut it off weld up the hole drill another hole and move it up an inch, it wont go if i heat it up, drivers side is up and in, just needs to be bolted up

both sides of the motor are jacked up, just the typical problems that come with owning a lt1 lol
