got my ship date today for boot camp. leaving september 21st for boot. then right after that goin to sub school for around a year. should be fun as hell:D

Just remember it's all business. Don't take what they say to heart and just comply with whatever they tell you to do. Even if it's a trap, and if they ask you WHY you did it, just tell them "Because Drill Sgt told me to!" Seriously. I was AD for six years. I know almost every trick in the book. They break you down to mold you into what they need.

You'll live and you won't regret it. I miss the MIL. :( The MIL was the best damn decision I've ever made in life and it's one of the most respected jobs in the country.

Boot is not hard. You work out, sit in class, iron/fold clothes, and polish your boots. The biggest thing to remember is the core values. Live by them and you'll have no problems.
