WTB/Borrow: Timing light

Anyone have a timing light they want to sell or let me borrow? Need to check timing since I did some things since last fall.

just make sure that you get one with a advance retard knob that way you can chart your timing curve

I've been told not to get one with advance with the MSD box.

to set timing you MUST disconect the box any way.

Not on my motor... if I disconnect the box I have no spark.

you have to BYPASS the box is what he is saying. if you dont the light will arc multiple times at low speeds and you wont be able to get a reading

There is no way to bypass the box without putting anew Distributor in. When installing the MSD it makes you remove the module and compressor from inside the dizzy. Theres no way to just bypass it. But they do make timing lights that wirk with multiple spark.

If it goes bad I swap back to a stock HEI, no biggie. I'm buying a flaming river one wire light, was recommended to me by a engine builder I talk to.
