Hey everyone. im sick of my overheating problem. Im trying to work out a trade for an LT1 (not beat) for my turbo kit, piping, BOV, wastegates, manifolds innercooler FMU etc, its worth well over 2grand. would be an even trade for anyone who is interested. I already have a T56 in my car, so i can bolt right up.
Any ideas or other info let me know, or just ask, i gotta run to hockey right now.
thanks guys/girls
John
(i have NO cash, hence the trade)

forget the boat anchor, sell the kit and go upscale

Edit: but seriously you can build a pretty bad ass SBC for way less then you would pay for an LT1 conversion, food for thought. I can hook you up with a 5.3 longblock on the cheap, probably get you a 6.0 for $800.00 or so complete

i think the whole point is zero moneyISH spent. doing an LS conversion would cost WAYYYYY more then an LT1 convert. hes already got the LT1 T56 and my 1993 Semi TPI plug and play harness.

I wouldn't do either, I'd just do a nice aluminum head 350 after selling the turbo stuff

I have a 96 B body LT1 here... I do agree about tearing into it and doing new head gaskets etc.

I plan on doing the headgaskets regardless. as for a plug and play, that is pretty much what im looking for. From what i researched a while back an LT1 doesnt require much, especially since Pizza is the man and willing to let me blow him for his harness. trust me if i had the time and money to pour into an LSX i would. i seriously want the cheapest way to go, since i want a new car anyways. Long term. gut this car, build up new car, and make current car fast (not overly) but still daily driverable.
So im looking for a reliable trade, not something that has 150k+ on a beat up motor that someone has destroyed. i mean hell, all my turbo gear has like 3kmiles on it!
Whats an LT1 B body?

Any specs on your turbo stuff? I may know of a motor I'd buy to swap you.
Now you have me tossing around some ideas in my head...

Boomer, depends on where we are to pull it. and the logistics, but sure.

Ok here is what i can remember. and i probably have all the receipts floating around too.
Turbos Turbonetics T3/4 60-1 .70 (and the other is a .68)
Two Turbonetics Evolution Wastegates (70 mm im pretty sure-still have the other springs and shims) *these look like they are $350 EACH
I forget the name of the BOV (but its not a discount shit one)
I have an polished aluminum innercooler, 2- 2.5 inch inlets, 1 3inch outlet,
B.E.G.I. Adjustable Rising rate FMU (retail is like $325+)
I have a GReddy Wideband air/fuel 02 sensor (retail $350)
Glow shift Boost gauge
shit load of painted piping.
As you can see i have all namebrand quality stuff. So i would hope i would get a solid engine in return, not a beat one ill have to rebuild in a year, or immediately.
Any other questions hit me up on AIM (Badgerx88) or call me 508 566 1300. I can get pictures if you need them too.
