Yeah then do the rubbers. Poly in the stock control arms sucks. And check the uppers. They usually go bad first.

Rubber it is, and im just gonna replace EVERYTHING while im there, both upper and lower ball joints, and all three(I think there are 2 on the lower a arm and one in the upper?) bushings.

Might as well do it once and deal with it in another 160k lol

Easy enough, looks like the camaro is gonna be suspension less for a couple days this week lol I'm prob gonna sand and clean up my spindles and arms and shit while I'm there, a quick sand blasting shouldnt hurt em right?

yeah just dont heat one spot with the media/sit in one spot too long. it can fatigue the cast iron.

Kalstar 04-03-2012 01:34 AM

Sand or class medium? Makes a mess but nothing is easier to clean the years away.

zfry I suggest rust oluem gloss black brush on paint. Shit is so strong and being gloss it cleans nicely. I have my spindles, A-arms and whole rear coated in 2-3 layers of that stuff. Cleans awesome and lasts. I kind of rushed on the prepping because I had a nice warm dry day to paint so for that reason I just wire wheeled everything and that got it clean enough. The rougher surface the better sticky.
