Thanks to everyone for the welcome!!! This site is definitely more active than CTFBA.
TBerry95z28: It is a clone. However, the 427 block is casting #3963512 with a 4 bolt main and the manifold is also correct #3933163. Here is a pic of the engine going in: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...9camaro018.jpg I have other pics, but right now....I keep changing things with it. I have had it 6 months and I did not realize how many problems the car had. Here is a pic of what the gas tank hangars used to look like: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...o-kurts007.jpg Outside pic: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...69Camaro/1.jpg Pizza, Sometimes I get so discouraged with the 69 that I think I would trade it for a bucket of gravel. Things should start getting better with it soon though. Dawg, Hopefully the weather holds out for the New Hartford show tomorrow! David |

Thanks to everyone for the welcome!!!
-------------------- Hi Alex, I went to two events with CTFBA and was glad to talk with you at both!!! Honestly, I think the car was pretty much hated by its two former owners who hacked the crud out of the car. One did a bunch of weird stuff like putting towels under the gas tank for vibration (I think he is the one with the god awful welding on the tank hangars) and the next did a bunch of his own hacks like trying to put power windows in. I now have it at Kurts in Canton, CT because a lot of this stuff is way beyond my ability to fix. The latest (and hopefully last) things are a new flywheel, clutch, control arm and steering spindle. Then I have to straighten out the interior. David |
