http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt...ly-record.html i respectfully disagree there r only 4 bolt on only LT1's in the 11's ever. i really want to be the fifth |
i call BS on Cowen or what ever his names is "record" you need well over 350 to the tires to hit 118 mph at his weight, and HE AINT POSTED NO TIME SLIP or Video. Juist some dude posting numbers. i can do that too.

like i said i respectfully disagree with u guys. i truely believe i can get my car into the 11's bolt on only as a summer daily driver like i have it now. thats the goal john p. (1slowformula) was cutting 1.57 60fts and tom cowle cut a 1.52 60ft i believe |
Not to add to the fire, but my buddie Joe down here has a bolt-on only Ls1 camaro, with a converter and he is going 11.80s and thats at sea level with full weight. So you need to add more power or really loose some serious weight.

i bet you tony that both of those guys have gone and moved the cam timing as well. its just not possible with a 3100 pound car to hit 118 mph without RWHP. there is no way around it. mph is directly related to rwhp and weight no matter what your 60 foot is.
|
to be honest i dont know a lot about tom cowle's setup. but i do know a decent amount of john p.'s and i know his raceweight was sub 3000lbs maybe even closer to 2900lbs.
u could be right pizza they could of messed with the cam timing. but i still think its def possible to hit 11's with what i have left to do |
ohh im not saying you WONT hit 11's But im sure theres more they did to the car to hit 11.50's other then Just roller rockers and bolt-ons. and further more ANYTHING that touches oil is not a bolt on IMO.

Not to mention that RR's change valve events just like a cam does. If Tony can hit 11s with stock internals that will be an impressive feat. |
rr's dont change duration or valve timing all they do is add lift.
