Yep I'll buy poly mounts in the spring when the time comes to out them in :) and idk if I'll heat wrap them.. I've heard good and bad abiut heat wrapping them, good obviously cooler engine bay temps, but collects moisture and rusts out the headers and makes them rot

i havent really heard alot of good things about wrapping headers, sometimes it can trap oil and like u said trap moisture. plus i dont think it looks that good personally

Thanks ya, and that's why I'm grill painting them keep the temperature down and they won't rust out.. Well not as fast haha

most mild steel headers will rust/rot from the inside anyway. wrapping will yeah hold moister. there a bad idea on a leaky engine. if you were that worried about under hood temps get em jet hot coated. other wise just run em. even grill paint will burn off. not too much paint can handle over 1500 degrees.

JoeyxGx2 12-11-2010 07:01 PM

How does much jet hot coating cost ?

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-12-2010 02:17 PM

alot. not worth it IMO unless your trying to get every once of hp out of the car/every tenth of a second. just run em. dont bother painting unless you have ALLLL the old paint stripped.
