Sorry Matt and Jami, I missed taking pics of your cars but they were awesome. Jami's was real cool and Kerrie talked about it a lot on the way home. Matt....The flames were truly amazing and I couldn't believe you painted that yourself. Nice!!!

941LE 05-23-2011 02:07 AM

joe trying to drift around every corner....sometimes with some help lol. O and to bad no one got a picture of Boomer shooting that special sauce all over his face

DavidS 05-23-2011 02:13 AM

I really enjoyed talking to Boomer. He is a real F-body and race enthusiast. He told me a lot about his and his dad's 69 Z/28. GREAT guy!!!!!!!!!!

ls6monte 05-23-2011 02:29 AM

Thank you. I appreciate the compliments, and no worries on the pics :)
I did both cars myself. Check out the project logs on here if you're curious, the wrx had a ton of work just last season. I'm not exactly a bodywork newb though. Was in the industry full time for just over ten years and had my own shop for over four years. Taking a break from it as a job for a while ;)

Yes, go karts were awesome lol! Joe gave me a hell of a nudge coming into the pits on the last run :D

Wish we could have had more actual cruise time with you guys but oh well, had an awesome time either way.

bottledbird68 05-23-2011 02:41 AM

Oh, and boomer definitely wins the best burnout leaving award ;)

*LS1* Queen 05-23-2011 02:46 AM

My only fear is finally getting the ambition to build one with a regular car engine we have laying around here.
A small tube frame with a cavalier 4 cyl would fly!!! Trust me, it's been discussed lol...

ls6monte 05-24-2011 11:19 PM

One of the guys at our shop did a custom framed go kart with a 1000cc yamaha engine. Had the 5 sp trans and it fucking screwed! Lasted a week until the service manager flipped it and hurt himself bad! Then it went bye bye! lol

ls6monte 05-25-2011 12:05 AM

He had a roll bar but no seat belts! Got thrown out of it! Wasn't thinking when he built it!

FireChicken 05-26-2011 09:25 AM

Sorry I didnt make it but I forgot that I had to be in Ireland for the rain date when I posted. I meant to update but never got around to it. Oh well...
