Next time I see any 600hp GM iron block with stock internals going down the track, ill make sure to remain atleast 1/2mile away to avoid any shrapnel.

guys an engine dyno is a stable controlled run on the the motor. no changes in traction no over hits on boost. none of the other issues that come from pulling a car down the track at that level. one over rev or rev limiter hit and good buy. these rods in these motors are shit. they are POWDERED Metal. Not forged and Not strong. will it hold a few times Maybe. on an engine dyno. sure. down the track NO! too many variables at that level of pressure. best case you melt a psiton down anstead of windowing the block at 100+.

And nelson was brought up.. LOL that guy has a huge list of unhappy customers.

I've heard the same thing about him and that his numbers are extremely exaggerated. Plus every big is the exact same thing again and again.

I think the point that Hotrod was trying to make was "How extremely efficient" these LS based engines are which like don said "Is nothing new".

If you were to get an old virgin small block 350 out of a camaro and strap it in place of that 5.3........ya you get the point.

Theyre a magazine, its more for the "what if" and the "wow factor". they should put in the disclaimer,

(Do not try this in your own cars!!!)
