Stock auto lt1. Big difference. Wen my car was stock I could hook on nittos. After the head cam stroker there was no way. And I have less power the bryanH. So I think its gunna be best to just try different things till they hook. Most of us including myself only have experience with them at the track. And I know on my car anyway they don't hook that well on the street.

at normal tire pressure on the street my car will just sit at 6k in 1st and 2nd with the MT Radials

Interesting. Maybe I'll give this a try. Last event I experimented with much lower tire pressures in the back. 5 psi less than I normally run. ~20 rear driver and ~27 rear passenger. I did this because I recently tried a 5 psi less setup at autox and my car felt much better. Slightly more rollover but once it does that.. it plants.

That's been my experience with the Nitto DRs too, the sidewall will flex a little but they stick like glue. Just have to get used to it.

if you do a 15-20 second burnout on a new pair of those theyre going to be about half worn when your done lol. ask maddie.

For the amount of events I do, my tires typically harden up due to age way before the tread is gone.

Has anyone else tried having Nittos heat cycled when purchasing? Discount Tire Direct does it for $15 a tire. I had mine done, and I can't compare them to tires that haven't been heat cycled because these are the first ones I've used but I can say they perform great, even after 3 years and ~10k miles, and still have enough tread for at least one more season.

I always buy mine from DiscountTire. I should try this. I'm only buying two next season so it shouldn't be too bad.

Hey pizza I got some 16" MT ET street radials that you can try out, theyre worn a bit but they should hook well.
