Well first if you came down tomorrow nobody would win since there's snow on the ground haha by the time its warm enough to race come on down. :) your motor is way more built than mine but still would be a blast to run :) its all about having fun. Never said I would win I just said I would run lol

Its about fun and I'm fine with racing for money it will be great.......haha well id rather wait till the snow isn't on the ground. We will have it tuned soon just need the weather to do it.

It is all in fun and I knew what you were meaning about coming down.
Guess what I'm getting at is your still just getting started with your car. you might get on the Dyno and the motor may pop. Or you might get to the track and can't get the car to work the way you want or it might be slower then you expect. That's the kinda stuff that you got get past before you say that you already KNOW you'll be ready to street race proven 9 second cars , just because you've made some driveway pulls and you've blownoff your bov a couple times.

But yes this summer is going to be a blast! Lots of "potentially" beastly cars will be out ,yours being one of them!

Its funny how the internet gets blown up like that if you read my comment all i said was come on down haha Not meaning i would win or anything just to have some fun out here. Guys on here just want to see some action The cars that race in this area will not be able to hang with anything we would throw at them. I was commenting to one of the guys Scion comment lol The way it sits right now i could win 90% of the races down here so if you want to make some money you really should come down haha You will mop up a pile of turbo hondas Subaru STi's and Mustangs.
but anyways..........Ya there is going to be a lot of trial and error for the car i'm sure. I've only gotten a bunch of highway pulls and a couple races with it it and already need to change my rear gear so this wont be the first time i have to mess around with shit. As you know turbo cars are a pain in the ass! I'm well aware that this could explode first pull when its cranked up that's why i have a spare :) So far I have gotten it to 15psi so far but still have some tuning to do. This spring/summer i'll come up to NED even though i hate that track but it would be cool to get together with a bunch of you guys from that area.

Thanks i appreciate it i cant take credit for the fab and welding work that was my buddy we came up with ideas and just went for it but it was a fun build to do especially for my first one. And i'll get the go pro ready when we race haha

Ya it will be a good time there are a lot of cars at the berlin turnpike on a friday or weekend night its pretty crazy. Ya i've been into a guard rail a couple times thats not fun at all!!!

Cage tacked finish it up tomorrow bought some corbeaus and 5pt harnesses will be ready by friday . A nice birthday present because I'm sick of buying shit for this car! Haha anyone who thinks they can build a nice budget turbo car should get smacked in the head!

I wouldn't suggest putting anybody in the back of a caged car. 1 hard braking and kids can crack there head on the bar. I've seen a few pics before. Hard enough could kill them.

I was kidding around. I wouldn't take anyone in the back with the bare cage way too dangerous. I have all the pads if someone does but Nobody would want to fit back there anyways lol its bad enough without a cage

What about the bottom bars that run front/ back along the door ?

Rocker bars? Or something else? You dont need those if you run subframe connectors according to the nhra book. If they give me a hard time at least its the easiest bars to install and won't have to remove anything but a little paint

And these cars SUCK for cages unless your under 6' you will not be happy haha after I finished this I looked around and saw so many threads saying "welcome to the caged 4th gen" and "that's just how ot is" I should of left it cam only lol. :)

The biggest downfall is if the main hoop is too low. Pisses me off when you can't use the mirror. Mine is setup so the hoop is stuffed into the ceiling so nothing is in my way for the mirror. Don't really notice the cage with my door bar out.

yup exactly right! We built it so its above the mirror also i want to be able to drive this and feel somewhat safe. Problem is its up so high might not be able to throw the headliner back in i'll try that tonight if not oh well id rather be able to see than have that.
But the window net and bar with these skinny seats will suck! lol

Easier to not remove the head liner. LOL

Ya I just didn't want to drill holes and drop the cage through the floor but I will do that for the next 3 roll cages I'm doing! Haha easier to weld that way instead of with the small torch.

Nevermind that was easier than I thought. :)
