NED 5/2
I plan on going up to the track tomorrow because I missed the track day. I know it's going to be warm so I hope to run well. Anybody else going to be there?
I am thinking about going up. I had a fun time last saturday.
I wish but I will be on my way/in florida
I would but I just cant make it last week drained me
maybe i will head up and video tape ronnie not sure tho
Definetly had a fun day today! Holy crap was it hot there today! The car ran decent even with temps in high 80's low 90's. Had to run the street class and went out first round.
1st run R/T .184 60' 1.843 1/8 7.970 mph 86.96 1/4 12.476 mph 109.50 2nd run .270 1.778 7.886 87.22 12.372 110.15 3rd run .188 1.758 7.914 86.59 12.435 109.20 Reaction times sucked because it's the first time this year and I always stink the first time at racing the new year! lol http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x.../nedmay2nd.jpg |
that thing is still running good I think it has a 12.1 in it before the end of the year
Check out the pic on action racing photos when they put it up. The LF wheel is close to going up! Not bad for a 3760lb sled! lol
a tiny bit of weight reduction and a incredible air day it may sneak a 11.99! looks like i got some work to do if i wanna keep a lead on ron this season!
AWESOMEEEEEE RON!!!!!! thats bad assss i think you should buy that pic. But in all honesty i think your right rear is squating too much. you need an air bag or drag bar. i bet it will cut a .05 ish off your 60 foot. been doing alot of research on square striahgt launches and how if your not striaght out of the hole how it affects the whole pass. Great times in the heat!!!!! i cant wait to see my 12.5's all day cuz of the hot air.... BOOOOO
P.S. Tony, you still gotta keep up to me too!!!! BAHAHAHAA |
nice ron!
good times ron!
yea pizza you fuckers r fast now! i need to start modding again!
Wanna borrow a trans and rear? lol
na i dont need any of those lol my trans should be good for 9's
and my rear is fine for now |

^^ HAHAHAHAHA ^^
he still could do gears and suspension
hahaha i still dont see what it will get him honestly?? hes already cutting what 1.6 60 foots???
He's got a little on the table with gears and a drag bar, I think

http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/lt1-lt...ly-record.html i respectfully disagree there r only 4 bolt on only LT1's in the 11's ever. i really want to be the fifth |
i call BS on Cowen or what ever his names is "record" you need well over 350 to the tires to hit 118 mph at his weight, and HE AINT POSTED NO TIME SLIP or Video. Juist some dude posting numbers. i can do that too.

like i said i respectfully disagree with u guys. i truely believe i can get my car into the 11's bolt on only as a summer daily driver like i have it now. thats the goal john p. (1slowformula) was cutting 1.57 60fts and tom cowle cut a 1.52 60ft i believe |
Not to add to the fire, but my buddie Joe down here has a bolt-on only Ls1 camaro, with a converter and he is going 11.80s and thats at sea level with full weight. So you need to add more power or really loose some serious weight.
i bet you tony that both of those guys have gone and moved the cam timing as well. its just not possible with a 3100 pound car to hit 118 mph without RWHP. there is no way around it. mph is directly related to rwhp and weight no matter what your 60 foot is.
to be honest i dont know a lot about tom cowle's setup. but i do know a decent amount of john p.'s and i know his raceweight was sub 3000lbs maybe even closer to 2900lbs.
u could be right pizza they could of messed with the cam timing. but i still think its def possible to hit 11's with what i have left to do |
ohh im not saying you WONT hit 11's But im sure theres more they did to the car to hit 11.50's other then Just roller rockers and bolt-ons. and further more ANYTHING that touches oil is not a bolt on IMO.

Not to mention that RR's change valve events just like a cam does. If Tony can hit 11s with stock internals that will be an impressive feat. |
rr's dont change duration or valve timing all they do is add lift.
That's what I meant, it changes the way the valve opens and closes, even if its just lift.
actually they do affect specs at .050 have seen cars need full tunes after going from a 1.5-1.7 rocker

fuck it i will do full suspension first and see where i get. that would be impressive with stock rockers |
Yeah I would give it a shot at going 11s stock internals if you can stand to.
thats impossible. the physics alone cant change anything BUT over all lift. i have to say it only effects Lift as my final answer.
Full tubular suspension, tubula k, a arms etc. could pick up a lot.
huge one is drag brakes. i hear u pick up soooo much with drag brakes. but i would leave that for last. u lose a lot of streetability with them.
one thing i have noticed about john P's car is his huge big gulp custom cai. i have a funny feeling it helps ALOT i plan on doing some sort of custom intake setup after i install my hood. IMO the more air flow in and the more exhaust flow out. the better. but hey thats just me |
Thats true but you can also only flow so much air to where a huge intake wouldnt do anything.
well yea their is obviously a point where it becomes obscolete (sp) but i feel like a aftermarket cai is even still a restriction.
oh and btw pizza that guy john p. who ran 11.50 runs a vig 3500 (which is even a higher stalling converter then mine) and if u read the link tom cowle ran 4.10's! just letting ya know smarty pants |
you can do it! haha cut his frikin balls off
