OK maybe its just because Im alittle excited that my car will be repaired BUT we were throwing around ideas at the shop today after I got the news the car will be repaired and the subject came up about colors. After about an hour of joking around I started to seriously consider the option of changing the color of the Z. Now before you guys go all nuts on e about what goes into repainting and shit IF I change colors it WILL be done correctly ie the engine bay, door jams, hatch will all be repainted along with the exterior.

So the options and there are only 2 are listed in the poll. Please vote for what you would do or think would look better.

Again it may just be because Im alittle excited right now that Im even considering this but it will be nice to hear your guys input.

I prefer SOM, but you are talking completely disassembling the car to do it right (including removing the engine etc and getting under the hood/firewall) Not worth it, it would be cheaper and look better to get a SOM car

I went through the same thing with my ss when it was getting painted. Alot of people thought the blue flames would look stupid, but once they saw it, they changed there mind.

Hey Douche Nozzle, Keep it NBM and have the whole car painted.

That's what we opted when Carrie's car got hit when 2 years old. We stripped the moldings, added a rear spoiler, and had the front grill holes filled. If you want SOM just buy one. We almost sold her car and bought a SOM vert but there were none around at the time.

Obviously it's easierand cheaper than SOM, but I honestly think it's a better color.

SOM looks great, but IMO it's one of those colors that would get old after a while. I just think I'd get sick of looking at it after a while if it were mine.

My NBM car though, even after owning it 3 years I STILL look at it and think how sexy it is.

What about keeping it NBM and adding like a metal flake or candy clear to it. Something that makes the car really standout and not just look dark blue.

Now your talking:) A little Gold Flake or even the color changing paint Blue / Gold

I've always wanted Ghost Flames.... Those would really cool in a deep red over the above Blue/Gold color change:drools:

Yeah, that sounds cool. Don't go too crazy with the 'flake though, you don't want to get that bass boat look.

Then you'll have to accessorize with 13" gold 100 spokes.

And I really like the idea of the ghost flames, or something along those lines. Maybe get some racing stripes with skulls or checkered flags ghosted in them.
