their would be a weight minimum in the class. and hoenstly if ur gonna go through all that trouble to win a fun street car blue collar not so mechanically inclined racer class be my quest and take home the trophy. i just think it be fun to race heads up for real for once

i wouldnt run the damn class..just showing you how it could go..just because some who go for the bolt on record aint that mechanically inclined dont mean the next guy aint going to be..remember the record is 11.48,followed by carb 11.50,then the one guys high 11.50s then shons 11.80 and shons car an everyone else where more race cars..gutted an such.

if you want to race heads up run index..do a 12.00 class,its heads up an person closer to the dial wins as you know..

nananana man im sorry my last post came off directed towards u my bad dude. i mean if people in general are gonna go through the much trouble to cheat to win then its ok it wouldnt bother me. not u dude lol my bad. i wouldnt consider myself mechanically inclined but i know many who are who have just bolt ons. but im still a young grasshopper when it comes to cars. i just take it slow one step at a time.

shit you could get used alum rods to fit off ebay for 100$,fly cutting the pistons and making them light dont take dick,same with only putting 1 compression ring on vs 2 to cut down on friction..knife edgeing a crank you could do your self and then just have it rebalanced and turned down to cut on friction..lil shit like that which dont cost but nothing and if you know how to build a motor its easy as hell to do.



the rebuild rule should be a no go for that class..you then have people who can bump compression cuz they decked the block,shim gaskets,a real hone for performance,diff rings,ring gaps and bearings.coatings an stuff.

Seems like the easy way to keep the cheaters out would be to not have a purse, just racing for pride and a trophy.

If people are driving 15 to 20 hours each way to get out there there needs to be some sort of purse.

yea like 10gs!!! bolt ons would be a sick class but maybe unfair to the peeps that work hard to build what they bring to run in the other classes i dont think id travel that far for a bolt on only race tho!and def alot of cheaters hah

not in a truck pulling a car..trust me that about 1k in gas..from cali to g.a is 5k for both ways according to dave bowman an the cali crew.its a easy 1k in gas from here to bowlin green

its like 1100 miles one way from my house to bowling green say u get 10mpg that would be 110 gallons. 110 x $3 a gallon would be $330. round up to $400 just to be safe and ur looking at $800 roundtrip

comes down to what your towing with i guess...a good old 350 sbc yuor lucky if your doing 8 mpg...@ $3.00 a gallon off the highway...newer diesle set up for towing your looking at 12-13 mpgs at $3.30? a gallon..in my duramax i would gett about 550-600 miles per tank going easy towing..two full tanks..looking at about $175 per tank

True i guess its all about the mpg ur truck gets towing 5,000lbs of car and trailer
