Thanks maddie and kev and pace setter longtube and pace setter y pipe, supposed to be the best fitting

Formula413 12-07-2010 11:27 PM

That looks awesome!

You need to adjust the bump stop on the right side of your hatch though. :p

Quikz28 12-08-2010 01:51 AM

looks good

pacesetter arent always the best fitting but youll be happy with them, you get painted or ceramic coated?

JoeyxGx2 12-08-2010 03:15 AM

Yea I know.. Always forget to... I'll do it eventually lol, and got painted ones... Got a really good deal on them.. $200 new.. I'm going to sand blast them and grill paint them

KLAB 12-08-2010 05:11 PM

My car did not want LT's in it at all, and pacesetters actually fit... so go with them haha

JoeyxGx2 12-08-2010 10:35 PM

Haha I actually thought of the problems you had when I was looking for headers lol.. Thanks for findinvwhch ones fit best for me haha

Quikz28 12-09-2010 12:13 AM

my pacesetters had the issues that klab lpps had, but with a little time you can get them to fit

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-09-2010 03:44 AM

^^ motor mounts cause almost ALL header fitment issues ive ever seen. i replaced my motor with new poly mounts and installed headers (pacesetter) all at the same time. even bolted the headers to the motor before install (no finagling) and they bolted righttttt up!

frankzlt1 12-09-2010 11:05 AM

are you going to wrap the headers. i had wrapped mine because how tight they are too everything, plus keeps the engine compartment cooler.

JoeyxGx2 12-09-2010 11:12 AM

Yep I'll buy poly mounts in the spring when the time comes to out them in :) and idk if I'll heat wrap them.. I've heard good and bad abiut heat wrapping them, good obviously cooler engine bay temps, but collects moisture and rusts out the headers and makes them rot

i havent really heard alot of good things about wrapping headers, sometimes it can trap oil and like u said trap moisture. plus i dont think it looks that good personally

black heartbeat 12-10-2010 02:26 PM

very purdy

JoeyxGx2 12-10-2010 08:31 PM

Thanks ya, and that's why I'm grill painting them keep the temperature down and they won't rust out.. Well not as fast haha

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-11-2010 02:04 AM

most mild steel headers will rust/rot from the inside anyway. wrapping will yeah hold moister. there a bad idea on a leaky engine. if you were that worried about under hood temps get em jet hot coated. other wise just run em. even grill paint will burn off. not too much paint can handle over 1500 degrees.

JoeyxGx2 12-11-2010 07:01 PM

How does much jet hot coating cost ?

ILuvPizzaTimes10 12-12-2010 02:17 PM

alot. not worth it IMO unless your trying to get every once of hp out of the car/every tenth of a second. just run em. dont bother painting unless you have ALLLL the old paint stripped.

JoeyxGx2 12-13-2010 02:29 AM

Sandblaster.. Lacker thinner lol I have All winter,

irockidz28 12-13-2010 02:45 AM

i kinda feel like thats a lot of work for what its worth..as long as the car gets driven they shouldnt rust to quickly

JoeyxGx2 12-13-2010 11:18 AM

Shouldn't be too bad, have all winter take my time with it, won't be too much of a pain in the ass, and car gets driven every day.. And hour drve to work and an hour ride home on 495 lol put 27,000 miles on her this year so far since march..

941LE 12-13-2010 11:36 AM

get a beater lol.

JoeyxGx2 12-13-2010 12:59 PM

Can't afford it
