Imput needed....Favorite color orange.
 

With permission I will create a start to finish build log for this car. My goal is to be budget but over the top. Most builders are spending 60k-75k.... my goal is less than half that.

I am at the stage of painting my three and a half year build project. I have settled on some type of orange. Prefer metallic and an off the shelf color (no tri colors). The style of car does not work well with trying to blend a tri color if damage occurs. Though I like SOM and DOM I would like to stay away from Corvette colors. I have been looking at paint chips for over a week but they are starting to blend together and can't really get a feel for the color in a 1 inch by 1 inch square. Soooooo..... what color orange do you like, if you know the make and style of the car I can look up the color. I am also not stuck 100% on orange so if there is another color you like, post that too.

I like the S7 color Beryllium but Saleen will not sell it or release paint codes.

all of those paints are 3 stage paints. if you want to stay orange and keep it simple. then i say do hugger orange.

No worries. I am an equal opportunity giver. So long as your not an ass and can prove you wont crash I'll let anyone drive it (with me in the car if course). I grew up dirt floor poor and just because I have been successful in my adult life doesn't mean I forget I'm still a red neck at heart.

The candy tangenne looks outstanding. But is there not a color that is a standard "spray and go"? I need an easy to repair color, there is a cool orange that comes on the Eclipse. I was going to drive up to to the Mizi dealership on Sunday to see what the Eclipse cool looks like in person. Then run over to the LR dealer.

It has been a dream for a long time. Lots of busted knuckles and head scratching for sure, but there is something to be said about building something with your own two hands (and buddies help too) . I have had some fast cars but this will be by far the fastest/ most exotic looking and it is not an in your face "look what I have and you don't " type car like a Ferrari or Lamborghini. And it will smoke'em both!!

i like hugger orange but im not so sure it would do a GTM any justice, i think you need a more high tech looking color for that car.

I was thinking that GM Burnt orange color like on Sams new firebird

Here are the colors I have been thinking. I just notice (except for 1) how close they look to each other. BTW, HeartBeat, that GM Burnt orange looks right up my alley, I added it to my post below.

BTW 84Z.....I like the lambo orange but a fellow builder just came out of the booth last week with that color. I would like to keep it somewhat one of a kind. GOVLET..... HOK is out as my painter is already paid and he says those colors are harder to spray with much more prep time, the paint would be extra to boot. I have paid enough for this paint job....no more cost overruns if I can help it. SLP......Hugger orange is out as I want some "flash" to the paint.

I know it's not orange but it's the blue off of my ss I used for flames. Dodge neon blue. Paint code PB8 i think

Love the metallic sunburst orange man, something about it just say Ohhh Yeah!

Painter sprayed some sample panels for me, posting them here will do no good as there are very close in color and will look almost the same on a monitor. If anyone plans to go up to Slow hawk's in the afternoon on the 21st Ill bring them with me. Would really appreciate the imput.

Either orange is fine but the green has always been puke green to me.

I'm a fan of the lighter orange.
