Battery tender FTW. Take it out at the end of the season and keep it on a float charger.

DemonWithin99 02-10-2013 06:15 AM

Yeah, I figured this was going to happen it's been about 5years o this one.

Almost.... Better Solution is a tender that has plugs that you can hard mount to the battery and then it's simply plug and play:all_coholic:

I simply plug in the charger, pop the hood and plug the connection in under the hood....:dance-1:

FYI - No issues in 3 years vs. replacing the battery every 2 years!! And it even allows it to be easily plugged in during non-winter extended parking (summer vacations):shakin:

I second the Interstate battery, a bit more than the vatozone special, but not as expensive as a red top optima.

DemonWithin99 02-13-2013 03:43 PM

yeah I'll probably steal my brothers interstate for now. Had no issues with it since I've had it would start up no problem but it's literally been like 4-5yrs. Got this battery before I got this car. It was in my 94' for a few months and when I swapped over all the good stuff it included the battery. So I definitely got my money's worth on this one.

I have a carquest AGM gell cell in my car and like it. Plus I made sure to get one with dual posts. Got a good deal on it when I worked at the dealership. I think I paid 125.00 for it and it has like 750 or 800 cca.

ILuvPizzaTimes10 02-14-2013 02:23 AM

its funny the AGM's that sears sells has less cca's then the shit diehard gold.
