Suspension replacement parts
 

Looking for a decent shock and spring combo. I want to upgrade the shocks and springs and i do want to lower the car just an inch or inch and a half. Its been sitting in my garage for the past couple months and the rear end has too much play.
Also going to pick up a shock tower brace while im at it. Looking at Bmr and Umi for the shock tower. Prob going with the eibachs for lowering since its reasonably priced. For the shocks the bilsteins are just friggin expensive and ive seen adjustable Kyb's that are cheaper.

Its not gonna be any sort of drag car and it prob wont see the track, but any opinions would be grateful. Its a 2000 z28 if it helps. Thanks

Adjustable is not always better, KYB AGX's have some pretty sketchy stories, they are either great or terrible and there never seems to be any rhyme or reason to it. I've done a few sets of the Edelbrock IAS shocks and they are great. The fronts are fully adjustable coilovers (ride height, not compression/rebound). A set of those with rear eibach springs makes for a nice set-up. If you are going to do adjustable bite the bullet and get QA1's

Not really looking for adjustable, just figured they would ride better. Where did you find those edelbrock shocks? I might go look those up. :sCh_elmodance:

Summit, Jegs, pretty much everywhere has them. They are not cheap, they are about the same prices for the rears as Bilsteins, fronts are pricey but they come as a fully assembled unit (mounts, shock, spring, etc) They are also big beefy monotubes. They ride really nice and handle really well when you get on it. These were going on my car if I had kept it.

i like the Konis Strano Setup. have riden in Quite a few cars in my day and any and all with eibach springs Suck compared to stock. they do not have the correct spring rates for the ride height change. they are cheaper ill give them that But if you want a better ride dont waste your time with eibach. better off getting the Cheapy Summit Springs. there the same things with a different paint on them.

Now the best ride ive ever had in an F Bucket was an SS with the Bilstien HD's and stock springs. for what its worth.

I do want some bilsteins but i do need rear springs. Ill be looking for the next couple days. Thanks.

Yeah the eibachs dont have progressive spring rate prob thats why they're so cheap.

They sure look progressive rate....Strano makes nice stuff too.

my car works real well with just the stock SS set up it is a slp car though Hooks good and can hit ramps almost as good at a vet

Oh i was told some of them dont have spring rate. I am looking at some strano springs right now. Thinking they should pair well with the Bilstein Hd's?
Koni's s are a little out of my budget right now. I like the edelbrock coilover setup but it doesnt drop the height in the front. It just drops it in the back an inch and a half. Not sure how that setup would look. It does make it a hell alot easier since the front springs are already on though.

Basically the Edelbrock setup is around $800.00 with all springs and shocks included.

If i went Strano springs and Bilstein shocks i'd be looking at around $650-700.00 and i would need to rent a spring compressor to do it. Decisions decisions
