Really?

I'm not a ford fan either... but Ford cant be going too far off track starting with 800hp for any price much less under 100k

ls6monte 04-08-2011 11:36 PM

The previous GT500 Super Snake had 725hp with no warranty for close to 80k+? Not sure on price. Those cars are sleds!

I don't know much about Ford (other than the F350 at work is a piece of junk) but Shelby American Inc is not part of Ford and they just work with Ford, correct?

Maybe this is similar to Lingenfelter working with Chevrolet?

ZFreie 04-09-2011 01:15 AM

My favorite part Shelby provides no warranty on the engine and transmission, in either case. Lol

ILuvPizzaTimes10 04-09-2011 02:12 AM

another toilet. haha best part No Warranty WTF! seriously!?!?! WTF!

Formula413 04-09-2011 02:46 AM

Yeah the no warranty thing is a joke. Pretty sure the ZR1 has a warrranty.

It has a pretty good one I think for what 720hp? Isnt it a like 3 year 36000 miles?

not a ford fan but to be fair the curb weight on the 2011 gt500 shelbly is 3800 lbs while the zr1 is 3300 with 630 and 705 with the hennessy package, idk sounds like a close call to me

In a straight line with slicks sure, but put some squiggles in between...500lbs is a lot, and i bet the zr1 handles way better. If offered to drive both Id take the zr1 keys every time.
