UD Pulley?
yay or nay? how do you guys feel about em? figure itd help me pick up a few ponies.

i've heard they don't help because they make your alternator full field itself and you just end up going through alternators like crazy in order to compensate for it you need to change your crank pulley and by that time you have gained no power. Just what I've heard tho
|
thats LT1's with shitty alternators!!!
Great bolt on as well as an EWP. mostly for cooling off in the staging lanes. |
so the UD pulley is more for cooling or you talking about the water pump, im lost. I thought it free'd up some power otherwise being sucked through to the alt and shizz
|
It's a good mod

water pump for cooling.... obviously. and the UD pulley for some parasthetic losses in the rotating assy. up front. thats better?:ahhhhhhh: |
I think it is a waste of money personally. Also know alot of people who have had problems with less expensive pulleys walking off the crank, cracking and warping. If you are hell bent on doing it I'd get the ATI but personally I think you could spend money in better places. The LS1 already revs really fast and the HP gain isn't all that noticeable. Up to you but I wouldn't waste the cash, you will see no real gain from it IMO.

spend the extra coin on the driver mod that makes it possible to laugh in the face of an owner of anything SVT... lol
