New tires

I need new tires on my car. Right now i have the Good year F-1 275/40 on there. Only the rear tires need to be replaced. I was thinking about going with these.

My question are,
1. Can i mix two kinds of tires if i have the f-1's in the front and the HTR in the rear? Or vice versa.
2. Does any one run these kind of tires? Any other suggestions on tires?
I store my car for the winter so snow isnt a problem for me. I don't usually drive it in the rain if i can avoid it but it happens sometimes.

Im planning on putting the F-1's in the rear and the new tires in the front because next season I'm getting different rims and the backs will most likely be a wider size. The F-1's will last me till then. Thanks

Yea, you can run different tires in the rear than the front, I do, I have nitto invos in the rear, and cooper zeon 2xs in the front.

Should look into nittos. Almost the same price tag and far better traction on dry pavement as well as comparable wet traction. Nitto 555's I wouldn't bother with the the drag radials as they wear out fast. Bnut you did say you were going with wider in the rear? What size? Nitto also makes a wider range then most to fit most 17" applications. And they have a kick ass tread pattern.... haha. So get the nittos is my vote. Stick em up front if you want. And then you will be set come time to buy wider rears.

I agree with pizza, it seems nitto tires are the best bang for the buck. My nittos hook up pretty nice.

Tirerack doesn't carry them, where do you guys buy your tires?

Discount Tire Direct has good prices on Nittos. I personally love the drag radials for rear use but you can only expect about 15,000 miles out of them so if you daily drive your car or rack up a lot of miles I wouldn't recommend them.

I buy my tires from a local shop named Crothers Tire, they have awesome prices but it would be a bit of a ride for you.
