car is finally running!!!
 

So, my car is finally running and it was indeed the opti.... Now of course that its running we find out the other issues...

The passenger side valve cover is profusely leaking oil onto the ypipe and causing a great american smoke show.. Small price to pay... Apparently todays backyard mechanics are huge advocates of siliconing the absolute shit out of everything...

Now also to find out first of all that the previous owner may not have been so truthful about how long the car has been sitting it has some terrible gas in there. So that will need to be flushed out. We also found that this vehicle is not "lightly modded" this motha has been beaten and nossed... The rearend is WAY too new looking leading me to believe that its most def been build/replaced and possibly regeared.

Now my question is knowing that the rearend had been tampered in order to get outta first you need to rev high... Could this be a mix of the gearing and perhaps a performance clutch or do you guys this it might be because of the bad gas bogging it down out of first?? Ive never felt a performance clutch so i cant say for sure...

glad to hear you got it running, and yeah seems like the #1 fix for everything is silicone. it could have the wrong ratio rearend in it, how fast does it go in first gear?

do you mean wen your driving along slowly in first you try to roll it in second and you kind of hit something throwing you into 4th? if so its normal and called Skip Shift.

Thanks joe ill be coming home from florida sunday night but i would like to get that off you let me kniw next time youll be around... And i havent gotten to take it out much yet ill let you know when i get it what it does in first...

Mike i dont think thats the issue im talking about although i have read about that and hopefully with the eliminator from joe it wont be an issue
