03 Azure Blue Mach 1 Rotary correction +Pinnacle Ceramic Coatings

Hi everyone. Haven't posted here in a bit. Figured I would share this even though it's a Ford.

Had the pleasure of working on a client's Mach 1 a few weeks ago. He is a good friend of mine and just moved down here to the Orlando area. He and I were friends for a long time up north where I used detail all of his cars. He told me that once I left he had one person do one of his rides and he wasn't happy. So he told himself that no one will touch his cars but me. Fast forward 7yrs and he decides to move down here and he brought with him this car that had not been touched since purchasing it, besides washes.

He brought the car down one day for me to give a quote and to catch up on life. Needless to say the car was rough but I knew with the right products and a little time it would shine again. He was all aboard for a complete coating package that included the Pinnacle Black Label line of ceramic coatings.

1. After washing with Ultima paint guard wash the paint was decond with Iron-x and a nanoskin mitt.
2. wheels were cleaned with Iron-x and various brushes. Tires were hit with Tuff Shine tire cleaner and there stiff tire brush.
3. I had originally settled on using my Flex 3401 DA and a orange ccs pad with FG400 after a test spot. But after completing half the hood and fender I decided the best course of action was to pull out the trusty dusty Makita rotary and have at it. I have to say it was a pleasure to use it and made quick work of defects with the orange CCS pad and the FG400 and finished out well.
4. The paint was then finished with SF4000, rotary and a black CCS pad.
5. To prep for the coating I used the Pinnacle Black label surface cleansing polish and my 3in Griots Garage polisher with a black CCS pad.
6. The coating was applied with the supplied applicator and wipe off with a Miracle microfiber towel.
7. Wheels were removed and prepped/coated in the same manner as was the glass.
8. Trim was restored using Ultima's Tire and Trim Guard and Meguiars new aerosol black trim restorer with great results. Front wheel wells were dressed the Meguiars aerosol product too.
9. Tires were dressed with Ultima Tire and Trim Guard as well.

All in all it was about 15hrs of work.

Upon Arrival.
