she saw some serious rpm back in october and wasnt to happy about it, been collecting parts and finally had time to tear it down. installing ls7 lifter set, moly pushrods, pac 1218 springs, a used pair of 853s with 20k on them and the obvious new headgaskets & head bolts. camshaft looks good so i havent decided if im going to touch it, i have a 20k mile stock cam as well and prob should do the timing chain, & oil pump but im tired of spending $$$$ on this thing! heres the status pics and damage

Now you have to worry about the rods in those cylinders. I've seen them tweek with 1k miles after contact sometimes.

hopefully the rods are ok, put a couple hundred miles on it since this all happend, still would paint the road from 40mph in 3rd lol.

Try to use something to clean up the contact points on the slugs, the sharp edges can create hot spots in the cylinder, causing pre ignition.
