Default Window motor hotwire mod

Finally got around to doing the hotwire mod for the passenger side window motor and damn, what a difference. I thought it would probably help a little bit but it's night and day. Before this the window wouldn't close completely sometimes, it would go up until it just contacted the weatherstrip and then stop. Now it makes a nice tight fit.

Vids: (both with engine off)

It should considering all you're doing is adding in larger wire to the circuit.

What typically causes the issue is that the original wire is undersized and it trips the thermal sensor due to voltage drops...... It's really a great mod that keeps motors working fine vs shorting them out due to low voltage.

Nice. Upgrading the wire definitely helps and the motor will last a lot longer.

Interesting since the motor fails from running hot which more voltage I can't seem to figure that making it cooler. That is why I don't hold down the button just press it a few seconds let up then again press it. And I haven't had to change any motors except the first one.

The low voltage heats them up drawing more amperage.
