anyone in RI or local Mass have a MAF?

I was tinkering with the car bc it had a CEL i ran the code it was a MAF code. Cleaned the hole thing made sure I didnt mess anything up... maf is still not working...deleted code, disconnected battery..light went off for like 2 seconds

before i go buy a MAF was wondering if anyone had 1 i could try out before i go buy 1

doesnt it need a tranny? why bother with that crap now? and i still think it needs a full re tune still? if so and you have don do it he can double check ALL that shit for you first. having no maf activity? might not be the maf itself. could be wiring or ground.

yea trans is getting pulled on the 15th... I am doing whatever I can while I have the time to do it... trying to get little shit done so when big shit is done for now it will be complete as it can be for the time coming... Also he said he had it tuned by a friend... it was working fine on the ride home... I dont want to pay for a tune right now if in Febuary I would be doing motorswap and retune...

i dunno man not for nuthin but there is a reason that car shit out 3 trannys.

black plague is tooling around on a STOCK tranny and making twice the power. just sayin. id have it 100% gone threw!

may be coming off as an ass BUT im just trying to be honest and help.

O i could tell he beat the shit out of the car....so I am going through what I know is wrong and can handle right now... Dont have a garage so I am outside doing this...so first getting her driveable so I can see whatelse needs to be done... Trans swap starts the 15th then going to drive it see what else is wrong... definatley going though it as much as i know and can call John for questions hahahahaa....so right now want to get CEL off and go from there

I have a spare PRO M MAF one sitting around on my tool box I Am in Wareham after 6 pm when i get home from work LT1 MAF

Never seen a LS1 throw a code for a bad MAF. More than likely you blew the engine sensor fuse. If the car keeps shitting tranny's it does have issue's and more than likely it is the tuning that is causing it.

thanks don I will be checking 1st thing in the AM..and after u do the engine swap for that guy with the ws6 to the 418 i think he said he going with... I will be seeing you for the tune... I believe me and that guy will be down there in a couple weeks so he can go over and make down payment... I went to Iraq with him and this most recent deployment too so I am coming for the ride....
