There's a reason I went 396 with a 6 inch connecting rod. I know its lt1 but the rs angle on even a classic sbc 383 is terrible. Reason they make more torque at lower rpm but not much more up top hp over a 350 ci.

Yes, with a turbo. We now we are on limited time on it.
It's just not an ideal stroke/bore to make power with. Alot of piston rock. This is the reason you don't see too many 383's out there. |

ya the 4" bore is much better for boost and will last a lot longer than the 3.6 or whatever the 383 has. Not to mention A LOT cheaper! i bought two lq4's for nothing compared to a 383

If one was to bore and stroke a 350 what would you say is the ideal cubes/ bore and stroke?
