if i had an automatic the 4.30s would be perfect or maybe a hair to much.

with 4% converter slip 4.57s and a 26.5" tire would go 116mph @ 7k.

4%, 4.30 & 26.5 = 123mph @ 7k.

i wouldnt be pushing it to that kind of RPM if it werent for the MN6 T56 close ratio gearing. first gear is 2.66:1 which is long, the car needs to be over geared in order to move out of the hole. its a compromise. over rev a few hundred rpm on the big end but have the right amount of torque in first, second & third gear.

it does 98mph in 3rd right now, im in high gear for less than half track when i should be in before the 1/8th

I will have roughly 4600ft lbs of torque at the rear axles with 4.57s in first gear as opposed to roughly 4300ft lbs with the 4.30s. More acceleration in 1st gear. Also less speed so less wheel spin. I bet i dont need as many rpm on the launch either.
