Default No posi? WTF

Alright well I was messing around on my friends street and he told me to do a burnout, so I left a pretty long burnout down his street. Anways he sends me a picture and its a one tire fire!

So on top of what I already have planned for the car, would a used 4th gen rear end be a decent idea? Should a rebuild be in order if I decide to go through with it? How hard is it to do?

Input needed!

If you are a 6 speed get a built rear like a 9" if your auto a stock rear is fine

ls1 rear end is the same except the brakes and rear diff wich hasnt proven to me its stronger. Plus you would have to swap the brakes over anyway. so LT1 rear with a higher(numerically) gear would be best. the highest gears GM used in the A4's was 3.23 im guessing you dont have them as they came in special packages in the LT1. SS/WS6 Mostly. So get a 3.23 or 3.42 rear end. BUT with getting a used rear end you run the same risk of That posi being on the way out too. just some food for thought.

Get whatever you can find with the least miles there are small differences tothe posi's but i don't feel any are stronger then the other.

Mine has 3.23 gear option. Only reason I asked was because of the brakes because I want to upgrade them at some point.

But when I go through with this, strength really is the same for all 4th gens (minus the sixers)
