what if we altered the route?
usual meeting, cruise to the tower \, then out to the karts? would be about the same amount of time?

I second that. Most of the cruise is nice sure. But can't see the reservoir for most of it. So hopping to tower quick then off to carts would be sweet!

the more I look at it the more fun Sonny's looks. Meet up at big Y as usual, run 30min up to quabin for an hour, aprox 1hr scenic-ish route south to sonny's for games, karts, mini golf, batting cages food and a bar!!

I'm open to trying this route since there seems to be a lot of interest in the go karts. We will also still fit in the lookout tower. Any objections?

It might help the late lunch time, hypothetically meet at 11, step off 1130, get to res by 12-ish burn an hour and step off to get to sonnys which on paper is about 45-50min so arrival there wouldn't be till about 2.
With that math a 10am start wouldn't hurt either. They do have a band playing that night (for those that want to hang longer) which sounds like something you might be into. lol Just going on the interest with the kids this time around. (Wouldn't care so much if it were a solo flight)
